“I’m delighted to say that the model of Katea produced by Graeme both met and exceeded expectations. The model is showcased in the boardroom of Mckay Shipping Ltd.’
Craig Harris, CEO McKay Shipping, New Zealand.
“Over several years, Graeme Martin made for me 1/200 waterline models of the great liners Titanic, Ile de France, Europa (later Liberte), Conte di Savoia, France (1960), and Queen Elizabeth 2; as well as an even larger and very detailed full hull model of USS Missouri in its original (1944) configuration. I have had other models of famous liners and battleships built by the very best model-makers in Canada and the UK, and Graeme is entirely competitive with them. He is enterprising and happy to undertake relatively unusual projects. His work is very reasonably priced by international standards, and he is a very agreeable and entertaining man to work with. I recommend him without qualification.”
Conrad Black, Canada
“ It obviously takes a lot of time to build a model like this one and I had to wait patiently for several months during which time I received ‘updates’ by e-mail including pictures of progress. Now I am very happy with the m/v “Port Nicholson” and can highly recommend Graeme Martin as he covers the very fine detail as well. Every day I look at the vessel and think how fantastic it is. The whole model certainly is a great piece of art.”

The Quality of Workmanship and detail on my HMS York is of a world class standard.”
Stuart Graham, New Zealand.
“Graeme built me a model of the Royal Navy battleship HMS Nelson on which my uncle served between the wars. It holds pride of place in our home and never fails to attract favourable comment. The attention to detail is incredible”
Brian Geach, Australia
Graeme built me a superbly detailed model of the WW 2 German battleship,Tirpitz. It is the centrepiece of my rather large collection of maritime memorabilia and it is a testment to his patience and craftsmanship.
Clive Williamson, Australia
“Thank you for producing the most fantastic model of ‘The Nordic Prince’. You have exceeded my wildest expectations. I hope your business goes from strength to strength”.
Anthony Hill, England
“After several years of researching and planning and then finding Graeme, my ship, ‘The Southern Bear’ started to come to life in 2007. I have been most impressed with the detailing and quality of workmanship. I never thought the whole process would be so much fun.”
Michael Spencer, New Zealand
"We commissioned Graeme to renovate and re-paint a large builders model of one of our ships. It was no easy task but Graeme approached the project with an attention to detail and a professionalism that left us here at the NYKCool Shipping Company most impressed. We are delighted with the result."
NYKCOOL Shipping Company, New Zealand
I asked Graham Martin to build for me a model of HMNZS Canterbury as the ship appeared in 1976. In 1976 I spent a year on the ship as a Midshipman.
With the aid of photographs and notes I had made, he produced a very accurate model of the ship as it appeared in 1976. I have been very pleased with the result. My wife was also impressed enough that it now is our dining room, rather than being consigned to the attic.
